ABWL supports individuals in community based residential settings throughout the city of Albuquerque. We are licensed to provide several different types of residential support services, including supported living and independent living.
Supported living is a more intensive, supportive environment for people in need of higher levels of support. Each person has a unique living situation based on their needs and goals, ranging from 24 hour support to much more independent living situations. The program focus is on community inclusion, social roles, vocational support and behavioral support.
Independent living is a program for people who need or want much less support. The amount and types of support provided depend on the individual’s needs and goals and is usually for people in need of minimal supports to self sustain in the community. This is a growing program within our agency.
